Lent, Day 20: More fear, and more faith.

Today's reading: Mark 5:21-43

"Don't be afraid, just believe." (v. 36)

Don't be afraid...
...that your request will go unheard.
...that God will work too slowly.
...that the situation is beyond repair.
...that you'll lose something most precious.
...that you'll be caught, and shamed.
...that it is too late.

Just believe...
...that you are within arm's reach of healing.
...that you can be free from your pain.
...that you will not be lost in the crowd.
...that God is greater than time, and greater than distance.
...that Christ reaches out to you, and calls you.
...that your story isn't over.
